Writing an Essay Plan - Writing on a Task

Writing an Essay Plan - Writing on a TaskWriting an essay plan doesn't have to be difficult. Writing an essay can seem like a daunting task, especially when you're struggling with a difficult topic. Here are a few tips to help make the process a little easier. One of the best things you can do before writing an essay is to set a specific goal. If you're trying to write an essay on marriage, for example, you might want to start writing on your own and ending up with a workable plan. Having a beginning, middle, and end to your work will allow you to structure your work according to your goals. A goal may be to write an essay on marriage in four weeks, or you may wish to write a couple of essays on a variety of topics that don't have a specific end date.Next, you'll want to create an outline. This is where you start out each day, working from the outline. It's a good idea to draw a rough outline in a journal, or write down all of your ideas the day before you begin writing. Once you've c ome up with a general outline, you can simply keep working on it throughout the day until you get the essay you're working towards. Your outline will serve as your 'road map' so you can keep track of all of your ideas as you work.Once you've begun writing your essay, you'll want to break it down into smaller sections. For example, if you're going to be writing an essay on being employed in the service industry, you can divide your work into service related segments. Take the major parts of your job (workday, nights, weekends) and break them down into smaller segments. For example, 'consulting hours', 'workroom hours', and 'meeting hours'. With each segment, you'll be able to easily note down the main points that you want to cover throughout the day. Finally, give yourself a solid foundation. This foundation includes creating a plan for yourself, getting your thoughts down on paper, and then following through each day. When you have an outline, good writing habits, and good habits of tracking your progress you'll find that you're writing essays at a faster rate.Different people have different writing styles, and this is even more true when you're writing an essay. Some people will struggle with the topic, while others will write on autopilot. What works for one person may not work for another, but most people find that they have a strong sense of direction when they set their goals, write their goals down, and create a solid outline. You also need to find a plan that works for you. This means that it may not be as easy as sticking to a certain goal for a week or two. For example, writing an essay on something you know nothing about can be tricky, but by creating a plan you can follow through and keep to your plan. If you have some experience, you can use this experience to your advantage and make it easier for yourself.Don't get discouraged if you find that writing an essay is a challenge. The more you practice and use your plan, the easier it will become. If you have a rough idea in mind about what you want to write, you'll be able to follow through easier.
